Uralgidromash shipped the first 180VDP-12/26EG pump impeller manufactured for the Perm State District Power Plant. The total supply will be four impellers for the diagonal pumps installed at this station.
Permskaya GRES is located in the city of Dobryanka and ranks fourth in the list of the largest thermal power plants in Russia in terms of installed capacity, being the largest supplier of electricity in the Perm Territory. Vertical diagonal rotary-vane circulation pumps manufactured at UGM were installed at the state district power station in 1982, in the late 90s the pumps were modernized. The impellers of the pumps have exhausted their resource and it's time for their complete replacement.
Pump 180ВДП-12/26ЭГ is a vertical diagonal rotary vane pump with an electro-hydraulic drive for turning the blades. The kinematic scheme for adjusting the rotary-blade wheel is the most complex. Few enterprises and firms can manufacture and implement such a control scheme and pump design. At the same time, this is one of the most energy-efficient parameter control schemes for large pumps.
Impeller blades are 100% non-destructive tested and fully machined, which is a high precision blade system. The assembly of a complex Kaplan impeller weighing 6.5 tons was presented to the Customer according to an agreed quality plan, which included a step-by-step control. The first impeller has been shipped to the customer. Manufacturing and assembly of the next three wheels is planned to be completed by November.
