A full-scale reconstruction is underway at the Ezminskaya HPP with the replacement of all equipment in the engine room. By the way, the previous hydro turbines were also manufactured at Uralgidromash, they worked for almost seventy years, and the HPP itself was built in 1949. For the first time in the history of UGM, the company undertakes warranty obligations for the maintenance of new hydraulic turbines for seven years. For the manufacture of critical parts of the turbine, the use of new highly wear-resistant steels was required (the water in the Terek is heavily polluted with quartz particles) to ensure the desired reliability and resource indicators.
The РO310-В-160 hydro turbine is actually an innovative product. JSC "UGM" is the first in the market of hydraulic turbine construction, where a system for regulating a hydraulic turbine of such power based on an electric drive has been developed and implemented.
The spiral part of the first hydro turbine and the embedded parts are already being installed at the Ezminskaya HPP. The first hydro turbine is ready for shipment, the production of the second is planned to be completed in February, the third — in April.
